The problem we’re facing

 

In our current digital retail age, as with fast fashion, our fall into fast interior design highlights the expendable ways in which we view products, the planet, each other and our communities. Pressure is being placed on internet retailers to keep high levels of stock, to fulfil demand, and industry giants have set high expectations for faster customer delivery and fulfillment, at any cost. The chain of negative effects this creates is detrimental but avoidable.

 

​As our hunger for fast furniture, attitudes towards consumerism and lack of care for the hidden costs of such demands has changed, the huge cost of warehousing and the amount of waste that the industry creates has grown. Simultaneously, the systems we have been living in and feeding, have created a society where we’re living in huge socioeconomic disparity.

Many of our people and communities are unable to afford or gain access to the beautiful, and necessary furniture that would fulfill a basic need or create beauty and joy in life, both of which we all deserve to experience. This is a great shame, when interior companies face the issue of covering the cost of excess and unwanted furniture and interior goods that are often in a perfect, or certainly redeemable condition, but due to the lack of budget, energy, and resources needed to put in to neutralise the effect of excess stock, if often just becomes a permanent headache or is disposed of in the quickest way possible, often landfill. Wedecided to not be complacent, watching the joyous use of the materials our planet has gifted us go to waste. So we decided to create a solution.

 

 

The revolution

 

We accept unwanted, end of line or excess interior goods, typically from large, high end established interior design companies or retailers. We collect the goods, covering all transport and storage costs and bring them to our studio & warehouse in Frome, Somerset. Our diverse team of 5 process, photograph, market and re-sell either via our beautiful shop in Bruton, Somerset or via our website at 50% off the original RRP, giving people from every background the opportunity to have access to beautiful things.

 

Revenue from the sale is then shared with the original retailers or owners, not only saving them cost and hassle but actually generating an income from their unwanted goods! Think of us as your outsourced outletting service. We offer our suppliers complete discretion if they wish, and only use brand names or disclose sources where suppliers grant permission.

If unsold after 90 days, and with suppliers permission, we donate the goods to local social projects or charitable organisations, depending on the product and what our community needs at the time; our schools, charities, our neighbors.
